The Lubbock Lake Landmark hosted Archeology in Action this past weekend. Patrick has been TOTALLY into archeology thanks for Curious George. He wasn't as thrilled about the "lectures" (in his defense there were three 25-minute lectures OUTSIDE in the heat). He really enjoyed seeing an actual dig site and the activites afterwards. Me and the little archeologist.
Look, Mom! I found a bone!
A stick can be a gun. . .
. . .or a conductor's baton (thanks Looney Tunes!)
Yes, I bought this shirt specifically for this outing. I am "THAT" mom.

He's a Mess
He had already drawn "whiskers" on his face in blue marker, so I decided I'd go ahead and finish the job by writing "I'm a Mess" on his forhead. Is there a more true statement?!!!

Patrick on his first day of pre K
and his last day.
I am so proud of all he learned, both socially and knowledge-wise. I feel blessed that he is so full of wonder and discovery. I just hope I can keep up!

My Pride and Joy
No matter what challenges or heartaches or shadows Life throws my way, this little man always seems to know how to make his mama smile. I'm so proud of my little Lugnut! Is there anything cuter than a 5 year old butt in baseball pants?
P hanging out in the blow-up pool, leg kicked over the side of his chair, makin' a mess with the dippin' dots.
Messy messy boy doing some kind of Sha-na-na pose.
P's 5th P-ARGH-ty!
Our annual birthday picture with the Tech baseball coach. This was our first year with Coach Spencer. GO RAIDERS!
