Pumpkin time for Paddy

Patrick was totally grossed out by the seeds and "webs" in the pumpkins. Although he did say he wanted to plant some of the seeds. Here's a new science adventure for us.

Patrick carved pumpkins at Doodah and Papa J's house on Saturday night.

We carved ours on Monday night. One scary one and one happy one. Jack-o-lanterns don't come across well on film. . .

I LOVE my RED RAIDER FAMILY!

Raiderland Fun

He insists in using his binoculars this way. They "fit his eyes better."

Patrick took this picture of me and Stacy. Could he have a future in photography?

Thursday with Patrick

Patrick and I had a super fun Thursday! He started the day with homemade a homemade waffle and "one episode" of Curious George. He HAS to put powdered sugar on them "by himself." We started the day with flu shots - not so fun, but better than getting the flu. He was impressed that I was so brave and didn't cry. I'm glad it doesn't take much to impress him. Then we came up to my office. He has been asking to come up here, so I decided flu shot day was a good day. I must admit, my office is a pretty fun place. We have a fish that "looks like Dory," lots of children's books, stuffed animals, toy airplanes. lots of stuff to make a 3-year-old happy. We ran into one of the HHMI directors, who is also a herpetologist, in the Alumni Pavilion and he invited Patrick to come see his snakes in the biology building. So after we left my office in the College of Ed, we walked over to Biology. We saw ALL SORTS of snakes and lizards. Patrick especially liked the boas. Their tanks were at his eye level and so they looked each other in the eye. We also went into the venomous snake room. There were 8 different rattlesnakes in there and they were SO loud. Totally creepy sound. After we left Biology, we met Mandy, my co-worker, at the Student Union and had Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets and waffle fries. All in all a great day for both of us.
This morning he wanted to come to my office again. I told him I had to work and make money. He said he wanted to make money with me. "To buy Slurpee's." I asked him what he would do to make money and he whined "I could dance." I literally had to carry him in under my arm, kicking and screaming into Jean's. It broke my heart to leave him so sad, but glad to know he thinks I am so fun!

Pictures from Jennifer Ann's wedding

We all had so much fun at Jennifer Ann and Todd's wedding. They are truly in love and I was so excited I got to be a part of it. It was so great to see everyone from the old Catholic Student Association days. I needed that "Mystical Body" boost. My mom still has more pictures, so I'll post those when I get them from her. CONGRATULATIONS TO MR & MRS TODD FISHEL! Now Jennifer Ann is an official Fishel. HA!

GO TECH! Beat the Aggies!

I drove into campus this morning by way of Broadway so the Saddle Tramps could put streamers on my Blazer. The Will Statue looked so perfect that I had to take a picture! I love the landscaping around the statue in the Fall.

I noticed this big red inflatable down on Broadway kind of in front of Red Raider Outfitter. I asked the Tramps what it was. Is aid it looked like a crab. They said, "uh, CRABTREE?" Oh yeah. I felt dumb. At lunch, we drove by and HAD to take another picture. I honked LOUD and LONG in the TTU/HHMI van.

This is me and Mandy in our "office divided" colors with the mums outside the College of Ed. She is an Aggie *sigh* but we love her anyways!

My dream job

If I could do anything, anything at all and not really need to be qualified I'd be a back up singer for Sting.

Now something that is a little more realistic that I am somewhat qualified for. . . event planner for TTU President or Chancellor. Or just a party planner in general.

Homecoming pictures & Things I love about Fall

Patrick and Blaise talking on mine and Stacy's cell phones before the game. We were never quite sure who they were talking to. . .
I took both boys into the game for the first quarter. We all did amazingly well! Blaise shook the pom pon and Patrick rang his bell. Then they decided that the Pavilion was their castle. I LOVE this one of my Dad and Patrick. Papa J has been letting Patrick ride on his shoulders to and from the parking lot. This one if DEFINITELY going up in the Tech room!

Things I love about Fall
1. The PAGEANTRY that is Tech football
2. Tailgating
3. Listening to Patrick singing the Fight Song
4. Visiting my grandmother in Floydada and getting pumpkins
5. Making homemade soups
6. Daylight savings time ends soon
7. Landscaping at Tech, especially around the Will Rogers and Soapsuds statue and the mums in front of the College of Ed
8. Hearing the Goin’ Band practicing during the day on campus
9. All the Saddle Tramps ringing their bells at the same time
10. Cheaper AC bills

We all need to be reminded of this

GOD WANTS ME TO TELL YOU
Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with you this year.
You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year.
For the remaining months of this year ,all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance.
Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings, sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.
He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY.
He will never let you down.
I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me, "My child! What can I do for you?"
And I said, "Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message."
God smiled and answered, "Request granted."

For all that is going on in all of our lives. . . The Sun Will Shine Again. . .
